Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC)

Multi-Crew Cooperation Course (MCC) training is about multi-pilot, multi-engine airplanes under IFR conditions. The main objectives of the course are to train communication, resource management, teamwork, and decision-making at all stages of flight under any conditions.

 

Course Outline

MCC theory course - 25 hours

  • Minimum of 3 days technical Computer-BAsed Training (CBT) at home (or at CAE training center upon request and subject to availability)

  • 3 days classroom and computer-based training

  • 5 Full-flight simulator (FFS) sessions. Each FFS session is 4 hours + briefing and debriefing.

 

Course Content 

The content of the MCC Course will cover theoretical knowledge training, practice, and feedback in:

  • Communication

  • Leadership and teamworking

  • Situation awareness

  • Workload management

  • Problem-solving and decision-making

  • Monitoring and cross-checking

  • Task sharing

  • Use of checklists

  • Flight management

  • FMS use

  • Environment, weather, and ATC

  • Systems normal, abnormal, and emergency operations

Jet Orientation Course (JOC)

Jet Orientation Course (JOC) provides you with a transition from a piston engine aircraft to jet engine operations.

 

8 hours of classroom theory

  • Introduction of jet aircraft

  • Differences between the jet engine and piston engine

  • Basic principles of flying a specific plane

  • Power concept

  • System familiarization

  • Automation

  • General handling and IFR flying in the jet environment

  • Precision and Non-Precision approaches

  • Checklist and Briefing philosophies as well as techniques

  • Mutual work and task sharing in the jet environment

  • Standard Operating Procedures

  • Cockpit Procedures Training (Mock-up)

 

JOT Practical

4 hours session in the FFS is divided into:

  • Pilot flying (PF)

  • Pilot Non-flying(PNF)

 

Minimum Training Requirements

  • At least 70 hours as a pilot-in-command of airplanes;

  • Valid multi-engine instrument rating;

  • Certificate of Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) Course completion;
